becoming

piercing the evening
something arises in the heat of the night
thoughts too deep to control
memories too painful to relive
visions of the future too sarcastic in tone
everything is becoming clearer

the figure is calm
the figure stands firm
looking deep into your gaze
it sees a dried up well
something that once had a purpose
and is now passed its prime
everything is becoming clearer

the silhouette approaches
tingles fill your spine
the questions still linger
is it time
mockingly gesturing an answer
everything becomes clearer

pain no longer rules the body
thoughts no longer rule the mind
simplicity takes their place
a hand guides you throught
what lies ahead
everything becomes clearer

light and dark
hot and cold
right and wrong
everything becomes clearer
